You understand just how important your top benefactors are to your organization. Whether that means donors over a certain level, dedicated booster club members, or VIPs, these are the people that ensure that your lights stay on and your seats are filled event after event. Rewarding them with free tickets should not be difficult or cost you a dime, yet it happens over and over. Staff members or volunteers must create spreadsheet after spreadsheet, manually print tickets, assign them, distribute them, and then be there to ensure that everything goes as planned. If you do use an online system to offer comp tickets, many times they charge a fee for this service!
What if there was a better way to thank your benefactors?
There is! BookTix has thought of that too. We have developed two unique ways to provide free tickets to those people that mean the most to your organization, without costing your organization a single penny.
Option 1: Discounts and Discount Codes
Once your events are created and you’re ready to start selling, you can create “discounts.” These are found in your dashboard under the “Applications Menu” on the left (with the xxx icon). There are many different parameters here you can assign this code, but for one free ticket per benefactor you will fill it out like so:
On the next screen, you will have the ability to enter a list of email addresses so that each benefactor will receive their own unique code for a free tickets. This allows them to purchase them themselves, and maybe add additional (paid) tickets to go with it!
Option 2: Point of Sale
This option requires a little more work on your part. If desired, you can hold seats in a certain section for benefactors. They would need to reach out to you to purchase their “free” ticket. You would then process the transaction using your Point of Sale tool, releasing the seats yourself as you need them.
